This Wednesday 27th of February, I participated in one of Conexiones Improbales’s OpenLabs, How-to-Make by Paola Guimeras & Silam Silicones company. I like to use my mind and my hands to learn and work. It is amazing how you learn and enjoy when you are around people who you don’t know, from different fields and working with them. It wasn’t my case, but on wednesday in the OpenLab, people created very good prototypes, nice ideas for Silam Company. This OpenLab was How to Make, so we had the chance to create a prototype of something (whatever you want) from our ideas and knowledge, using silicone materials and the basic electronic components. Paola Guimeras is an artist and educator working at the crossroads of art, design and technology & Silam Silicones is an industrial company dedicated to transforming silicone into products for industrial use. Conexiones Improbables is very good concept of working together. They connect traditional basque companies with artists or culture & social educators. They integrate them in a new challenge of collaborating and co-creating together to aim innovation and social responsability. Hybridise to innovate.
In this improbable connection process, they provoke OpenLabs enviroments. In these workshops people for different fields and the company meet & discuss about the practicality of their products or services in daily life. Looking for a new opportunities of utilities, communications routes and activities.
