DELPOZO Fashion Designer. Spring Summer 2014I always approve the combination of minimalism hang with Arabian, African or Latin American textile crafts style. In this case, I want to introduce Delpozo Spanish Fashion Designer Spring-Summer 2014 collection. The straight light lines + colorful embroideries remind me to one Egyptian T-Shirt that one friend brought me some years ago. I will define his collection as a Egyptian Ethnic style. I love this combination in different designs such as furniture, ceramics, lighting… Have a look! ;-)

After watching twice Visual Acoustics: The Modernism Of Julius Shulman, a documentary about his career and life as an architectural photographer, I would recommend totally this film and again I got surprisingly satisfied of his great simple beauty of mid 20th. century architecture and furniture designs. Lines, angles and different textures + the black & white contrast of his pictures.

Julius Shulman is renowned for some of the most iconic photographs in architectural history. His images seem to reveal the essence of an architect’s vision and capture the spirit of the eras in which they were produced. His distinctive camera angles produced portraits of hundreds of modern structures beyond Los Angeles. He has helped define Modernism for the general public through his photos.

Framing the California Lifestyle. Julius Shulman’s photographs of Southern California’s inventive modern homes promoted the careers of numerous visionary architects including Richard Neutra, John Lautner, and Pierre Koenig. Mid-20th-century homes come alive through Shulman’s compositions of carefully posed models set against streamlined furnishings and breathtaking vistas. Here you have some photo examples.

Sasu Laukkonen Chef&Sommelier Restaurant cook speaks to us about “The Beauty of the Tasting”. During my last year in Helsinki, I had the chance to work in 2  Spanish Food Projects. One is Goola, an online food shop and Alambique Oy. Both wanted to bring the best tasting pieces of Spanish food to Finland. My last months, I have been visiting professional chefs in the city. One of them was Sasu Laukkonen. A creative, humble and marvelous cook! I knew him in one of my selling appointments and after 1 hour of conversation with him, I proposed to make an interview. It was amazing chat with him. His way of expressing and speaking about ingredients and food designs made me think more about the richness that we have in Spain. We have a high quality food and land. We are lucky!

Of course, everything has been possible thanks to my friend and best professional Jose M. Sanchez of Kinetic Pixels and my boyfriend, Tuomas.

Here you can watch and listen to the interview. Do it! It’s really relaxing and interesting chat! ;-)
